The Story
Handcrafted using natural olive wood, each piece in this collection of olive wood kitchen and tabletop pieces, including this olive wood egg cup, is hard, durable and non porous. Each egg cup is unique because of both its hand crafted character and the striking knots and grain found in the olive wood. Each piece is kiln dried for durability and becomes darker and richer in color as it ages.
The olive wood designs are crafted in small batches, as the artisans in Tunisia carve each piece from only pruned Olive tree branches or dead trunks. This ensures that no fruit bearing trees are damaged and that this otherwise unused timber in brought to life with a second use in these pieces.

Care: Hand wash only.
Avoid leaving olive wood sitting in water to keep it from cracking.
Occasionally rub a small amount of food safe oil such as linseed or olive oil onto the wood using a kitchen towel or lint free cloth. This will keep the wood from drying out and will bring out the natural grain and coloring of the wood.
